Comments: The oversize backlash
I was recently tested to determine my body composition. The actual percentage of fat was, unsurprisingly, well into the 30's. The surprise was my lean body mass. 176lbs. I am only 5' 10. I was wondering if I took these numbers and plug them into a BMI calculator what would I get. I found this calculator. http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bminojs.htm I get a BMI of 25. But that is my lean body mass NO fat at all. BMI of 0. At 150lbs it suggests that I would have a BMI of 21. The BMI for my actual weight is also off but it is closer to correct. Just one more bit of evidence to show how flawed the BMI is. Clive Posted by Clive at October 26, 2007 08:09 AM
